Iron Jawed Angels

I just finished watching this film.

It was amazing. I felt so empowered after watching it. I cried at the injustice of the things that happened. Although these women weren't saints (They failed to accept black women in their cause) they were tough and faced adversity while fighting a cause that seems impossible. With the causes I fight, I have leverage with the people in power with my power to vote. They had no power.

I wish I could quote all of the great things these suffragettes said. The overwhelming feeling I have from this film is to get things done. These women were considered radical. They did what they needed to be done. No matter what happened.

Our time as activist is here. We need to band together and get things done. I have the itch to become a part of the movement again. Our world is changing and we can help! There are so many of us that face oppression because of the "public opinion" and it is time to stand up, link arms, and brace yourself, you Iron Jawed Angels, for what is to come.

I can't wait.

Love,
Twig

PS The two post I promised are still in the works. They are coming soon! :)
